About Us
What kind of church is Saddleback?
Saddleback Church is a non-denominational church. No matter who you are or where you come from, there’s a place for you here to feel loved and welcomed!
Where is Saddleback Church located?
The Silicon Valley extension of Saddleback Church meets weekly in San Jose, CA.
We also have 15 locations in Southern California, five international campuses, and many extensions worldwide.
What is the difference between a Saddleback Extension and a Saddleback Campus?

Saddleback Extensions
Like colleges and universities, a Saddleback Campus has a full-time staff and local campus pastor while a Saddleback Extension is organized by a group of volunteers in local communities throughout the world and overseen by the Saddleback Extensions Pastor Chris Reed.
Chris married his beautiful bride, Tina, in 1990. They have three wonderful adult children, Jacob, Kaylee, and Macie Joy.
Chris began pastoring at a church in Los Angeles in 1995 where he was the Children’s and Student Pastor. He was the Executive Pastor of Student Ministries at John Maxwell’s church in South Florida before he came to Saddleback in 2008 as our Pastor to 20s/30s.
Chris has since served as Singles Pastor, Small Groups Pastor, Marriages Pastor, and Parents Pastor. He is currently our Extensions Pastor, leading the charge for Saddleback Church start-ups across the US and world. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and his Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.
What should I wear?
Most people dress very casually when they attend a service — t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. But you are welcome to wear whatever you’d like! If you need a t-shirt, we’ve got you covered!
Where do I go after I arrive?
You can meet one of our Welcome Team members at the Connection Center, and they would be more than happy to show you where you need to go.
How long does a church service last?
Our typical weekend services last about 60-70 minutes. We include time before and after for fellowship, group prayer, and Bible study.
What about my kids and/or teenagers?
Saddleback Kids (SK) is our programming for kids from birth through 5th grade!
Saddleback Student Ministries (SSM) has services for junior high (6th–8th grade) and high school students (9th–12th grade) each weekend.
At this time, our extension does not offer Saddleback Kids or Saddleback Student Ministries, but materials from the main campus are available. As we grow, we plan to offer these options and would love to hear how important these are to you.
